Ampicillin Trihydrate
Semi-synthetic derivative of penicillin that functions as an orally active broad-spectrum antibiotic. Used for the treatment of respiratory tract, urinary tract, gastrointestinal infections and skin, soft-tissue and post-surgical infection in dogs and cats. Respiratory tract infections in cattle and calves including non-ruminating (veal calves). Treatment of respiratory tract infection caused by organisms susceptible to ampicillin, bacterial pneumonia (shipping fever, calf pneumonia and bovine pneumonia) caused by Aerobacter species, Klebsiella species, Staphylococcus species, Streptococcus species, Pasteurella multocida, and E. coli.
