Cefovecin Sodium

Cefovecin Sodium is an antibacterial veterinary drug. In dogs it is used for the treatment of skin infections (secondary superficial pyoderma, abscesses, and wounds) caused by susceptible strains of Staphylococcus intermedius and Streptococcus canis (Group G). In cats, cefovecin sodium is used for the treatment of skin infections (wounds and abscesses) in cats caused by susceptible strains of Pasteurella multocida.

The drug has a long-acting therapeutic effectiveness at low doses.
