Flumethasone Acetate
Flumethasone is a locally acting glucocorticoid agent. Glucocorticoids have effects on virtually every cell type and system in mammals.
Flumethasone acetate is recommended in certain acute and chronic canine skin diseases and disorders to help control the itching, irritation, and inflammation associated with these conditions. 2
Flumethasone (Flucort) injection is used in dogs, cats, and horses for the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions due to inflammation, where permanent structural changes do not exist, e.g., bursitis, carpitis, osselets, and myositis; and allergic states, e.g., hives, urticaria, and insect bites. 3
