Dwarf Neon Rainbowfish Melanotaenia praecox

Dwarf Neon Rainbowfish (Melanotaenia praecox) is native to Mamberamo River in northern Irian Jaya, Indonesia. The species is considered to be an omnivorous. The average size is up to 5 cm. According to The 1994 IUCN Red List of Threatened Animals the Dwarf Neon Rainbowfish is a threatened species.
