Eventually Ibizan hounds were brought to the island of Ibiza off of the coast of Spain. Standing over 27 inches tall, these elegant and very athletic dogs are very easy to train and do well in obedience. Ibizan hounds make wonderful family pets, but the instinct to run after fast-moving targets just cannot be turned off. Coats may be either smooth or wirehaired.
