The Irish Water Spaniel, the largest of the spaniel breeds, is a superb hunter and retriever. With his oily, water-resistent crisp coat he is able to swim in icy waters. Obedience training doesn't sink in easily with this breed, as Irish Water Spaniels become easily bored. When they are focused, Irish Water Spaniels learn their lessons quickly.
