Canine distemper virus
A species of the genus Morbillivirus; a natural infection of dogs, foxes, wolves, and ferrets; the infection is present in dogs and usually attacks the young producing fever, nasal and eye discharge, and skin eruptions; infection may be mild but may cause CNS complications; spread y airborne droplets and highly infectious.

Canine distemper virus
A species of Morbillivirus causing distemper in dogs, wolves, foxes, raccoons, and ferrets. Pinnipeds have also been known to contract Canine distemper virus from contact with domestic dogs.
