Cerebrum
The higher brain cells; the chief portion of the brain controlling concious thoughts and actions. It is the largest part of the brain that fills most of the upper skull. Its function include control of the muscles, speech, emotions, reading, thinking and learning. Derived from telencephalon, cerebrum is composed of a right and a left hemisphere. Each contains an outer cerebral cortex and a subcortical basal ganglia.
