Hypophosphatemia
A condition of an abnormally low level of phosphates in the blood. decreased phosphate levels may result from mulnutrition, malabsorption syndromes, hyperparathyroidism, renal tubular acidosis, and treatment of diabetic ketoacidosis. In children, this condition can suppress normal growth. Symptoms of hypophosphatemia include anemia, prolonged bleeding, bone demineralization, decreased white blood cell count, and loss of appetite.
