Miniature Poodle Breeders

Miniature Poodle

The Miniature Poodle is even-tempered, affectionate, playful, and very obedient. He is a natural show-off and loves to do tricks. He is perfect for the family, especially if there are children around. A fine companion and friend, he is rather strong and healthy, but his coat needs extensive care. It grows faster than that of other breeds.

The Miniature Poodle was developed as a companion animal by breeding down in size from the Standard Poodle. In France it is known as the Caniche Nain. It retained all the good qualities of its big cousin, especially its lively intelligence, but was now small enough to fit into more restricted living environments. The history of Miniature Poodle is unusual because, uniquely, the circus appears to have benn a major influence. When the high intelligence of large Poodles was first discovered to transform them into acrobatic performers, it was clear that smaller dogs would be even easier to handle and to transport.

Miniature Poodles are very responsive, quick-witted, high-spirited and fun-loving dogs which are extremely gentle with children. They love to ride in cars and can adapt to absolutely any living environments wher they thrive on human attention.
