Mudi Dog Breed

The Mudi originated in Hungary and is not yet well known outside its native country. The Mudi is a healthy, versatile working dog. Always keen to work, he is highly valued by shepherds for being able to herd large cattle. Mudis are also very useful on a farm where they kill rats and guard property. Being highly trainable and fearless, Mudi Mudis are sometimes used for retrieving birds and hunting boars. Like the famous German Shepherd Dogs, Mudis are not gun shy.

A mudi has to be groomed thoroughly once a week, with special attention given to places where the coat is long, such as the ears and tail. Sufficient daily exercise must include free run in a large area, or retrieving a ball.
