The Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen is a small, active and vigorous hound, with a slightly elongated body which originated about 400 years ago in western France where he was used to hunt hare. He is a passionate and courageous hunter as well as a docile, loyal and affectionate family companion. Coat color is white with any combination of lemon, orange, black, tricolor or, grizzle markings.
