Devon Rex Cat Breed
The is a breed of unique appearance, having large impish eyes, a short muzzle, prominent cheekbones and huge, low-set ears. They are fine to medium build, medium sized cats with a deceptively muscular body type.
The Devon Rex hails from Devonshire, England and was first discovered in the 1960s. The Devon Rex has a somewhat small head in comparison to their large, perked ears. Like the Cornish Rex, the Devon Rex possesses an impish face and crinkly coat. Some find the Devon Rex resembles Yoda of the Star Wars movies. The Devon Rex also displays a similar demeanor as the Cornish Rex, in that it loves to interact with people. These cats will follow their owners around and get themselves involved with any activity that is occurring in the house. The Devon Rex is very intelligent and many people are often successful in training them to perform certain basic tricks. They are very good family pets and work hard to gain affection and companionship. They are "heat seekers" and can be found under the bed covers or sitting on heat emitting appliances or electronic devices.
