Russian Blue

Russian Blue

Russian Blue cats are easily identified by their plush, silvery-blue coats. It is thought, that these cats were once the chosen cats of Russian Royalty. These cats gained much popularity in the United State following World War II. The Russian Blue cat is a very intelligent. They can be shy toward strangers, but are generally very affectionate toward their owners.

Despite their shyness, the Russian Blue is generally very good with children and other pets. While they readily welcome the attention of their owners, they are also able to entertain themselves, making them a good choice of pet for owners with a more rigorous work schedule.
