Serengeti Cat Breed

Serengeti Cat Breed
The Serengeti is a relatively new breed of domestic cat bred to mimic the African Serval.

The Serengeti comes in several color/pattern variations: tabby (brown spotted tabby), solid (black) and silver (silver spotted tabby and black smoke). The coat is short, fine-textured and dense. The gold or yellow eyes are round and large.

Their temperament has been described as gentle, outgoing, confident and alert. In breeding programs, the Serengeti is sometimes outcrossed to Bengals and Oriental Shorthair.

Serengetis may be shown in TICA shows in the Preliminary New Breed class, but are not yet eligible for Championship Status.
