Stabyhoun Breeders

The Stabyhoun, or Frisian Pointing Dog is a sturdily built, medium size long-haired pointing dog which originated in the northern Dutch province of Friesland. These dogs were used as watchdogs and mole and polecat catchers. Devoted, obedient, easy to train, soft and gentle with his family, cheerful and friendly with strangers the Stabyhoun is a wonderful family dog. The most common color is black & white, but brown & white and orange & white also occur.
